Yaz Lancaster (they/them) is an African-American multi-instrumentalist and music writer. They studied violin and poetry at New York University. Among their mentors were Cyrus Beroukhim, Robert Honstein, and Terrance Hayes. Their compositional oeuvre includes works for chamber music, voice, sound design, as well as solo and duo works.
