The composition was inspired by the lively and shimmering images of the poem «Cliff Fall» by Seán Street (*1946). It paints a clear picture of a perishing human being. The almost continuous movement breaks down into two contrasting components. The beginning of the piece remains almost in silence. The three instruments seem to entwine with long lines in their entire sound spectrum. The last section first develops as a broken phrase, then everything merges into something very urgent. A haunting and impressive work. Due to its medium degree of difficulty, the work is also suitable for advanced students.
