Johann Sebastian Bach: Suite D-major

for Violin and Viola

consisting of «Präludium» (from Well Temp. Piano Part 2), followed by dance movements «Allemande»,«Courante»,«Sarabande», «Menuet I and II» and «Gigue» (from the French Suites).

Several two-part dance movements suitable for string instrumentation, selected from Bach's extensive piano work, were appropriately transposed and combined with a suitable prelude to form a suite.
