Suite c-minor, op. 15, No. 1, for Viola

Oscar Geier received his musical education at the Sondershausen Conservatory and the Dresden University of Music. From 1913 he belonged to the Dresden Staatskapelle for over 40 years. In addition to his practical activities in music, he was particularly fond of composition. He has composed mainly solo and chamber music for the viola. This suite is a virtuoso piece that will appeal especially to advanced violists.
