Born 24th January, 1950. Studied viola at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory 1970-74. In the same period he played in the Group for Alternative Music, where the members performed each other's compositions. So at this point he was autodidact as a composer, since he was a viola student, but he was very alert in the music theory lessons. In 1977 and again in 1986-89 he took a violin teacher education in the Suzuki method at the Danish Suzuki Institute. In the years 1979-80 he studied composition at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory. Has furthermore received private education from different teachers and supplemented the classical oriented education with folk music, jazz and rock. His music often cuts across styles and genres.
